DESCRIPTION :

Role Objectives

Manage the overall operations of a specified supermarket/department store business to maximise growth in terms of sales revenue ; profit by optimising cost control & quality of service in terms of customer satisfaction

Performance Parameters

Sales & Profitability

  • Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
  • Determines marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and departmental sales records.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.

·       Improve in-store display rentals and other incomes from vendors

 

Inventory Management

·       Ensures availability of merchandise and services by approving contracts; maintaining inventories.

·       Formulates pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion; authorizing clearance sales; studying trends.

·       Markets merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans; analyzing operating and financial statements for profitability ratios.

·       Secures merchandise by implementing security systems and measures.

·       Analyzing stock movement status, sell-through and make necessary plans to boost e-commerce sales through the outlet

 

Team Management

  • Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

·       Building career growth plans and development needs for the team

 

Hygiene & Safety

  • Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.

 

 

 

Role Specific Requirements

 

 

Relevant work experience in handling one or more of the following categories within a big or medium size store directly handling a team size of 10 or more people:

o   Electronics & Consumer Durables

o   Toys, Sports and Fitness

o   Fashion and Lifestyle

o   Home Décor and Furnishings

o   Kitchen & Home Accessories

o   Washing and Cleaning Equipment/Tools

o   Baby & Kids
